These six inch 3000K downlights do not require a J-Box or a recessed housing of any type. After cutting a rough-in hole, as noted in the installation instructions, the adjustable, spring loaded retention tabs make for an easy installation, and the only tools recommended for installation are a screwdriver, a wrench, and a pair of wire cutters. They offer an exceptional CRI of 93, a great R9 rating of more than 50, and a 110° beam angle with an output of 1005 lumens. A wet rated 75 watt equivalent luminary with power consumption rated at 13.9 watts, these lights are dimmable to 5% and able to fit in spaces where other lights might be a tough fit. The lifetime rating of these luminaries is 54,000 hours and they carry a 5 year warranty.
