These nifty little 2700K LED downlights do not require a J-Box or a recessed housing of any sort. After cutting a rough-in hole, as noted in the installation instructions, the adjustable, spring loaded retention tabs make for an easy installation, and the only tools recommended for installation are a screwdriver, a wrench, and a pair of wire cutters. They offer an exceptional CRI of 96, a great R9 rating of more than 50, and a 100° beam angle with an output of 461 lumens. A wet rated 65 watt equivalent luminary with power consumption rated at 10.8 watts, these little lights are dimmable to 10% and able to fit in spaces where other lights might be a tight or impossible fit. The lifetime rating of these luminaries is 60,000 hours and they carry a 5 year warranty.
